Review : The Body Shop ‘One Pot Wonder’

have been a big fan of TBS Body Butter for ages. My skin gets super dry especially in the air conditioned environment. I can't really tell you’ll how much I enjoy using TBS Body Butter but I am so excited about this new Body Butters Duo and its going to be my perfect products.

The Body Shop understands that certain parts of our body, such as elbows and knees, have fever sebaceous glands and therefore need more intense moisture to keep skin looking and feeling at its optimum.  Today, to meet women’s needs, The Body Shop unveils new innovative Body Butter Duo, providing 2 levels of moisture in one convenient product, making our life easier.

I love the idea of having two different consistencies in the same jar. Now, I can moisturize my skin with this yin-yang’ twin pot that contains two types of moisture. In one half is a light creamy butter perfect for skin needs less hydration, meaning it can be used everywhere else for normal moisturisation. In the other sides, it almost like a solid balm for drier areas likes my elbows, shins, heels and knees. With this Body Butters Duo, I have no more headaches choosing between satisfying only the "normal" or "dry" parts of my skin.

They’re being released in 4 different scents to choose from: invigorating Floral Acai, comforting Vanilla, relaxing Macadamia, and uplifting Sweet Pea, I have plenty of reasons to keep a Body Butter Duo on hand for every occasion.

Review : Charles Worthington Frizz Free Relax & Unwind Straightening Crème

My hair is very coarse and frizzy, plus I have natural curly hair. It’s become really damaged because I’ve been applying so much heat and chemicals over the years. I really wanted to try this product to tame my unruly hair that curls or goes out of shape after a nap. You know those bad hair days, right?

Charles Worthington Frizz Free Relax & Unwind Straightening Crème does give my hair a new structure and shape, controlling and straightening as it calms and relaxes curl. It does all this without weighing my hair down or leaving residue.

The texture is light and the scent is wonderful. It is so easy to apply and use, all you do is squeeze the excess water out of freshly washed hair (don’t towel dry) and then squeeze about a quarter sized amount out onto your palm and smooth generously through the hair before blow drying.

It does everything it says! Well, it's a very good product for my wavy, frizzy and highlighted hair. Its leave my hair looking and feeling perfectly soft, smooth, glossy and frizz-free all day. If you’re having the same concern as me, make sure you get a hair straightening cream, so you can also look at your best.

Frizz Free Range

The CW Frizz Free Relax & Unwind Straightening Crème is retails at RM32.90 for a 150ml bottle, and it exclusively available at Watsons Stores.

Review : Charles Worthington Frizz Free Ultimate Serum

Over the past few years I have had trouble maintaining my hair because I have naturally curly hair and I love coloring it. I am so tired of my frizzy and unruly hair! I always wanted to transform my hair, making it frizz free, incredibly shiny, smooth and soft!

Charles Worthington Frizz Free Ultimate Serum is one of the best ones that I’ve ever tried. It is a multi-action ultimate serum with its frizz response formula and UV filters tames and protects unruly hair for long lasting control and shine. With its clever humidity resistant ingredients, flyaways will be a thing of the past.

I mostly use this right after my shower. It is always advisable to squeeze out the excess water out of freshly washed hair but do not towel dry it. I used to dispense 2-3 pumps of the ultimate serum and glide through my wet hair from mid lengths to ends. Comb through and just let my hair dry naturally or blow drying. This serum also works on dry hair with the use of sparingly to control stray ends.

After using it for a couple weeks, my hair become instantly soft, smooth, shiny and frizz-free all day without making my hair look or feel greasy and it also doesn’t’ weight down my hair at all, plus it smells great too. This serum is also the perfect primer for any styling product and help guard against heat styling damaged. Now, I am able to manage this very easily with a blow dryer, transforming my hair into a sleek and straight masterpiece, and it seems to help hold my curl as well.
Frizz Free Range

The CW Frizz Free Ultimate Serum is retails at RM 29.90 for a 30ml bottle, and it exclusively available at Watsons Stores.

So what do you think of Charles Worthington Frizz Free Ultimate Serum, will you try it?  What is your favorite hair serum?

Review : Charles Worthington Balancing Act Conditioner

Shopping for the right hair conditioner can be a head-scratcher, what with all the choices on the market. But I always recommended that to use the shampoo and conditioner of the same range to ensure optimal results.

I have started using the Charles Worthington Balancing Act Shampoo and Conditioner at the same time and my experience with both products are pretty good. You might want to read my review on the Balancing Act Shampoo in my previous post, and now here goes my review of the Balancing Act Conditioner.

Charles Worthington’s Balancing Act Conditioner is perfect for oily hair and has been carefully formulated for oil free roots whilst perfectly nourishing ends. This conditioner is an ultra light daily conditioner that gently conditions my hair without weighing it down. With the clarifying ‘White Nettle’ and nourishing ‘Rice Protein’, it helps to rebalance my oily and dry zones for shiny, healthy-looking hair.

After shampooing, I just squeeze out excess water before smoothing conditioner through my hair. Apply the conditioner on to the tips of my hair and try not applying the conditioner on to the scalp as this will result in the moisturizing agents in the conditioner making the scalp too oily. I left it on for few minutes and do a thorough washing with cold water to hold the moisture. As soon as I began rinsing it, my hair felt really soft, smooth and silky. I felt like it had more bounce than usual. I just couldn't stop feeling my hair all day and now my hair is healthy again!

The CW Balancing Act Shampoo is retails at RM29.90 for a 250ml bottle, and now you can get the Takeaways Shampoo and Conditioner at only RM9.90, which is a mini version designed to make traveling easy! Promotion starts 24/5/2011 until 22/6/2011. Only at selected Watsons Stores.

Review : Charles Worthington Balancing Act Shampoo

I’ve been using Charles Worthington Balancing Act Shampoo for almost 3 weeks now and it’s made a noticeable difference to my hair. As I mentioned in my previous post, my hair is very oily at the roots and it tend to get dry and brittle at the tips. Most of the shampoos available in the market are for dry hair, or oily hair, but Charles Worthington's Balancing Act range is one of the first I've found to tackle the problem of my combination hair.

This particular product is good at what it says it’ll do because of all the nice things it contains – ‘White Nettle’ to combat oily roots, and ‘Rice Protein’ to moisturize my dry, frazzled endy bits.

The directions are easy to follow. I just squeeze out a quarter size of shampoo to do the job. Massage gently into wet hair, lather and rinse it thoroughly. But do remember not use hot water to make your hair wet in order to shampoo. As hair is damaged at extremely high heat, hot water is going to mess up your hair. The better choice would be lukewarm water.

This detoxifying shampoo provides deep cleansing for my oily roots without stripping moisture from dry and brittle ends, while nourishes the tips. My hair is left perfectly balanced with a healthy shine from root to tip, and it protects my hair from colour loss and heat damage. It really does make my hair feel much better now.

Overall it's smell quite pleasant too, and the packaging is smart and stylish. The bottle squeezes out the product really easy but I still more preferred the pump dispensers system. ^.^
